10 Books That Changed My Life!

Let me share with you ten books that changed my life! If you read to the end, you will find out why I have chosen them. AND if you prefer just watch a YouTube interview, then just scroll to the end :)

1, Opening to Channel: How to Connect with Your Guide - Sanya Roman

In my early thirties, I attended play dates with my kids and hoped to make friends. Though I was interested in spirituality, I was too shy to discuss it. Fortunately, I met a mom who was open to discussing the topic. As our children played together, she offered to lend me a book on connecting with my guide. Even though I attended a class on the subject, I had struggled to make a connection, despite being able to sense spirits for as long as I could remember. However, after reading the book and trying the exercises, I heard an audible voice while washing dishes that I knew that was my guide. The voice said "Keneau" and then "Pleiades," which I later learned referred to a constellation. Upon seeing a picture of the Pleiadian constellation, I felt an overwhelming sense of familiarity and began to cry. I felt I found the home. Finally, I understood why I felt so different. I spoke a "strange" language, which today I now know as the Language of Light, and this experience marked the beginning of my starseed journey.

2, Energy Medicine: Balancing Your Body's Energies for Optimal Health, Joy, and Vitality, Donna Eden

This book was a lifesaver for me! I purchased it back in 2007 when my guide, Keneau, told me that I had the potential to be a healer. At the time, I didn't believe him and had no interest in pursuing that path. However, I later fell seriously ill with Lyme disease. Fortunately, Donna Eden's life work came to my rescue. I closely followed her advice, and exercises, and learned about chakras, meridians, acupressure points, and many other techniques that helped me restore my health. I became an avid learner and even now study the meridian system as a hobby. I will be forever grateful to Donna Eden for her invaluable contribution to my recovery.

3, The Children of The Law of One & The Lost Teachings of Atlantis, Jon Peniel

This book awakened my inner calling to be a spiritual teacher. John Penniel recounts his journey of self-discovery. His story begins with his struggles with suicidal thoughts and a strange spiritual encounter that led him to a new way of thinking and living, eventually leading him to a secret monastery in Tibet. Penniel shares ancient wisdom while being relatable through his ups and downs and struggles with the ego.

Sometimes, we may feel frustrated that things don't happen instantly or wish for more help on our journey. However, it's important to remember that we must learn and practice what we've learned. Knowledge alone won't make our dreams come true.

I thoroughly enjoyed the practical exercises in this book. I read it when I was aspiring to become a true teacher. I understood that to impart true knowledge, I must help my students apply it daily until it becomes a way of life. In the book, John shared a funny story about his experience as a dishwasher at a monastery. He was not allowed to study until he surrendered his ego and accepted his privileged role of washing dishes. When he learned to love what he once hated, his struggles turned to joy, and he could move on from his dishwashing days. This story teaches us that while we may not have a choice in our current situation, we can choose how we feel about it. This is a life-changing lesson.

4, Anna, Grandmother of Jesus: A Message of Wisdom, Claire Heartsong

When I was a child, I had a doll named Anna. The name always filled me with love and hope. In 2013, I traveled to South Carolina to present a workshop on starseeds. I fell in love with the spiritual community and the Charleston area there. Jim, the leader of the group, introduced me to a book about Anna, which changed my life forever.

Growing up in formal Czechoslovakia, I wasn't raised with any religious beliefs. The story of Jesus seemed like a sales pitch to me, and I wasn't interested. But reading this book was a pivotal moment for me. When I returned to Chicago and started reading it, I fell ill with a mysterious flu for two weeks. During that time, Anna spoke to me, and I felt like I had undergone all the initiations written in the book.

In 2015, my family and I moved to South Carolina, and the Essences have become a part of me, just as I have become a part of them. When you allow Anna in your life, she will walk beside you as she walked with Jesus, Mary Magdalena, and others.

5, The Pleiadian Agenda: A New Cosmology for the Age of Light, Barbara Hand Clow

As I strolled through a secondhand bookstore in 2021, I had no intention of purchasing. However, as I was about to leave, a book fell off the shelf and called out to me, urging me to take it home. Having already been familiar with Barbara's Hand Claw work, I was immediately drawn to her research and dedication to seeking the truth. In particular, her involvement in the Harmonic Convergence of 1987, which had opened up new pathways for many of us, resonated deeply with me. Reading Pleiadian Agenda confirmed what I had always known in my heart, even if others had not recognized it. As someone with a strong connection to Alcyone and the Pleiades, I was overjoyed to learn about Barbara's life there and connect with another Pleiadian soul. This book is a true treasure, filled with the Pleiades' pure energy, wisdom, and goodness. I was fortunate enough to come across it during a time of personal change, and I even placed my manifesting wishes on sticky notes inside the book – it works like magic.

6, How to Know Higher Worlds: A Modern Path of Initiation, Rudolf Steiner

While scrolling through Amazon one day, I stumbled upon a book that caught my eye. Having previously used the Waldorf curriculum to homeschool my son in fourth grade and read Atlantis, I was excited about this teaching. The book is relatively easy to read, and those familiar with Hermetic teachings may notice similarities in Steiner's work. In my perception, there is also a connection to the Green Emerald Tablets written by Master Thoth. What I found most valuable in this book was its emphasis on developing spirituality while remaining grounded and effective in our daily lives. The author encourages readers to dream big and bring those dreams back to Earth by taking action. This message inspired me to find balance in life and pursue spiritual growth while living as a regular, grounded human being.

7, Immortal Sisters Secret of Taoist Women, Translated and edited by Thomas Cleary

This book is a captivating translation of the writings and poems of six Taoist women who lived between the fourth and twelfth centuries. The topics covered include longevity, rejuvenation, and immortality. While some prior knowledge of the subject may be helpful, a few key takeaways have had a meaningful impact on my life.

You can recognize the similarity of what I learned from the book: Anna, the Grandmother of Jesus. Anna describes the practice of longevity (immortality) as cellular rejuvenation. These Taoist women practiced inner alchemy and rejuvenation techniques long after the time of Jesus Christ. Could Essenes possibly study Taoism (Daoism) and other influential teachings? The second fact is exciting for aging women, mentioning that women typically only discovered Dao once they were in their 50s. The book inspired me to practice qi-gong and study inner alchemy, which benefits my health, mind, and soul.

8, Letting Go The Path of Surrender, David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Hawkings has developed a map of consciousness which is explained in several of his books. The map utilizes a scale of emotions corresponding to different levels of consciousness. He teaches the use of kinesiology to determine one's current level of consciousness. In this book, he outlines a logical process for shifting from negative emotions like hate to positive emotions like love. By understanding our emotions and learning to change them, we can transform how we think and react, ultimately removing obstacles in our journey toward enlightenment and creating the life we desire.

Throughout my life, I have faced many challenging situations. This book has helped me realize that I am not a victim of my circumstances but rather a designer of my reality. Everything is energy, and the person I am on the inside is reflected in my outer world and the quality of life I experience. I have created a fulfilling life filled with love and happiness thanks to Dr. Hawkins and his influential work.

9, Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu

During a challenging time, a friend surprised me with a gift of poems. Instead of dwelling on my unhappiness, I found comfort and peace in reading them. I learned to let go of my desire for control and trust the Universe to guide me toward the best path. Sometimes, I felt as though Lao Tzu was with me, reminding me of "The Way". When I need inspiration or to calm my inner turmoil, I randomly open the book and enjoy the wisdom of the sage.

10,The Game of Life and How to Play it, Florence Scovel Shin

This is the golden nugget. This book holds valuable spiritual guidance to help you achieve prosperity, good relationships, good health, and thriving life. I have read this book numerous times, and it has greatly improved my life. Each time I read or listen to it, I learn something important that I can apply to my life and experience positive changes.

Initially published in 1925, the book is timeless. Florence Scovel Shin expounds on her philosophy of living life to the fullest and manifesting one's desires based on the timeless Laws of metaphysics, which have been utilized for centuries. She imparts knowledge and practical advice that can be easily followed by anyone.

What books mean to me and why I chose these 10

Selecting ten significant books that shaped who I am today has been a pleasant surprise. It allowed me to reflect on my spiritual journey over the past two decades and conclude that I love the person I have become. Although I have always been different, I now embrace it and feel content with my life. These books have been integral in helping me create a new reality for myself and my loved ones.

I was born in Czechoslovakia when it was still a formal country. Since I was young, I have enjoyed the aroma of books and telling stories. Reading books, particularly those about travels across the globe, sparked my imagination and allowed me to experience them in my mind. As a young person, I dreamed of visiting many different places and writing either a book of poems or a comedy. In 1998, I moved to the United States, but I struggled with speaking English and had to rely on my trusty dictionary to communicate. Over time, I worked hard to learn the language, knowing that overcoming the language barrier was essential to unlocking endless opportunities to live my dreams.

My passion for reading drove me to seek more knowledge during the early days of learning a foreign language. I used to read Nora Roberts' romance novels, as they were thrilling, with a pen and dictionary by my side. Roberts' storytelling abilities were exceptional, and I immersed myself in those stories, striving to understand every word. Although it was difficult, it was also exhilarating.

Discovering spiritual books opened up a new world for me. As a busy mom of two young children, I rarely had time for myself, but reading these books allowed me to learn and understand more about myself. Reading became my escape, just like when I was a child, but now I read in a different language. My love for the mystical and magical worlds remained unchanged despite the language change.

Like many people, I have accumulated many books over time. It can be difficult to let go of them, especially since I often mark important sections and occasionally still reference a dictionary. However, the books I am sharing with you are significant to me, and I sincerely hope you will find them as enjoyable and valuable as I have.

Love and Light,

Eva
